** Sorry for the delay in updating the weekly blog.  Thank you for your patience.

Math: Working on adding and subtracting fractions with like denominators and unlike denominators through the JUMP math program.  Also focusing on multiples of 2, 3, 5 as well as 4.  Additionally, we do a daily practise sheet which includes multiple math skills.
Reading:  Working on the reading strategies of Rereading and Check Your Understanding as you go along with accessing your prior knowledge by brainstorming and reading the questions first.  We are currently using one to two page stories to practise these concepts along with how to answer question in complete sentences that include starting your answer with part of the question.
Writing: Our main focus has been on the writing and editing of our Fire Safety paragraph.  We also do a daily language practise which involves many different language skills.
Science:  We have begun studying the weather.  We learnt that air can hold water and that it moves and we discussed the water cycle.
Socials: Started a study on the First People of Pacific Northwest Coast.
HCE: Focusing on Classroom beliefs and proper agenda use.
Art: We have learnt about Shape and Form and have made a shape collage to demonstrate our understanding.  We are beginning to discuss Colour and Shading.
